Set in small town America in 1988, the local cafe, The Whistle Stop, is a run down diner with many loyal and colorful patrons. When the rival diner's pipes freeze, they can't host the presidential campaign stop so all attention turns toward The Whistle Stop to host the candidate. How will a visit from the candidate impact this once sleepy, laid back diner and the local community?
